Dallas homicide detectives have arrested three suspects they say were responsible for two killings near White Rock Lake earlier this week — one of them allegedly using an AR-15-style rifle in one shooting that left one person dead and two injured at an apartment complex parking lot off Webb Chapel Road at about midnight Tuesday night — police said Friday afternoon.
DART officials confirmed they received an email from Dallas police early Friday morning saying officers had arrested three people suspected in the shooting.
The email also said police had recovered a .45-caliber pistol used in the shooting.
The incident occurred about midnight Tuesday at an apartment complex parking lot near Webb Chapel Road and Peoria Street.
Police said they found two men injured by gunfire — one who was taken by ambulance to Parkland Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries — along with one man who was dead from gunshot wounds.
They didn't immediately release details about any victims or suspects.
Police said Wednesday they were seeking information about two vehicles seen leaving the scene.
On Thursday morning, police arrested a man in connection with the shooting at Webb Chapel Road.
At about noon Thursday, detectives arrested another suspect who was being sought for another homicide earlier this month.
Detectives said Friday afternoon they had made another arrest linked to that crime.
Police said Friday they had arrested three suspects connected with both shootings.
The other homicide occurred about midnight Aug. 2 on West Crestview Avenue just south of West Northwest Highway.
Police said that victim was shot inside his vehicle by someone standing outside it.
That man died from his wounds.
A gun was recovered from his vehicle after he was killed.
Police did not release details about either crime or arrests until Friday afternoon.
